A Pathway Home to Yourself
For those who feel untethered, overwhelmed, or far from their own center, The Seven Homecomings Benefactor Practice offers a gentle and rooted return. Guided by Wambui, this series is an invitation to come home to yourself, and to the many seen and unseen sources of support that surround you.
Originally rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist practice of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, this meditation has been lovingly reimagined by Lama Rod Owens to reflect a more expansive vision of refuge. One that includes the land, the ancestors, trusted teachers, and your own deep inner knowing.
Wambui, certified to guide the Seven Homecomings since June 2023, brings a warm, grounded presence to this work. Since her certification, she has been sharing this practice with communities seeking rest, wholeness, and a felt sense of belonging.
Over the course of four sessions, you’ll be guided through:
Introduction to the Seven Homecomings Benefactor Practice
Learn the foundations of this refuge-based meditation and why coming home to yourself matters. The Three Jewels of Refuge in the Tibetan Buddhist Lineage
Explore the traditional roots of the practice and how they offer timeless support.Calling on the Land and the Ancestors
Reconnect with the deep well of ancestral and earth-based wisdom that holds you.Coming Home to Yourself
In this culminating session, we’ll weave together all the threads of the week in a full guided Seven Homecomings meditation, anchoring you in a felt experience of refuge and return.
This practice is especially for those who feel lost in the noise of life, who long for stillness, who are searching for a place to land within themselves. You don’t have to hold it all alone. Let yourself be held - by the earth, by your people, by the practices that remember you even when you’ve forgotten yourself.
You are warmly invited to return.
